Tim provides intellectual property advice and services for securing patents, trademarks, and copyrights. Tim assists clients with preparing and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications across a broad range of technical concentrations, including semiconductor devices and device fabrication processes, digital and analog circuits and systems, computer hardware including microprocessor architecture, software, medical devices, optical devices, manufacturing processes, radiation technologies, scientific instruments, clean energy, and general mechanical devices and systems. Tim also helps clients in the management of intellectual property portfolios, and counsels clients on intellectual property strategies and due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other financial matters.
Tim received his B.S.E.E. from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell in 1987, and his M.B.A. from Bentley College in 1993. After 15 rewarding years in the high-tech industry, working as a hardware engineer at Digital Equipment Corp., a product design engineer at BBN Communications, and a sales engineer at VideoServer, Inc., Tim earned his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School in 2006. Tim is admitted to practice before the Massachusetts State Bar, the First District of the United States District Court, and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
